## Position Overview
* **Job Type:** Freelance / Independent Contractor
* **Pay Rate:** Set your own rate! Average English tutors typically charge between $15.00 to $25.00 per hour.

* **Commission:** Sliding-scale model. Starts at 33% for new tutors and gradually decreases down to 18% as you log more hours on the platform. *(Note: Preply takes 100% commission on your first trial lesson with a new student).*
